Contest on mobile application development (not only) for MeeGo Harmattan and Symbian platforms, organized by Czech open mobile non-profit Openmobility in cooperation with Nokia. With Nokia N9 Linux based smartphone as main prize for the winner, donated by Nokia. In case of exceptional demand there will be special prize – two developers Nokia N950(*1)!
Application topic is open, could be a Czech or Slovak market specific one, game, educational application, interesting use of new technologies like NFC or port of already existing application to the contest’s platforms.
The contest starts on the 13th of March 2012 and takes exactly one month by 13th of April 2012. The results will be announced at Openmobility conference in Prague, 21st of April. The winners will be contacted in advance, at least three days before the event.
Please, send the app registration to our mail – firstname.lastname@example.org, one week before the end of the event at least. Specify the topic, in more details, with links to the public control version repository, your blog etc., see rule #1.
1) The application has to be released and distributed under the approved open source licenses (GPL, BSD) and developed in an open way. Create the open source project (use any of project hostings like bitbucket.org, gitorious.org, github.org), share your code, blog etc.
2) The application has to be submitted to Nokia Store(*2) and has to be at least on QA. Availability for both platforms is considered as advantage. It’s non exclusive agreement, the distribution is not restricted on Nokia Store only.
3) Application has to be created for this contest, do not recycle your old apps to have a fair starting position for all projects.
